As we got ready to head to Ha Giang, the staff were attentive and quick to respond to what we wanted for breakfast. They seated us in the beautiful lobby and took our drink and food orders promptly. Everyone was lovely and kept making sure we were happy with the service.

Breakfast was good, and the rooms were decent with air conditioning. But every wash bottle had the wrong label. Also, don’t leave your luggage here for the Ha Giang loop. The bags weren’t tagged with their owners, and mine was either lost or handed to the wrong person.

The place felt dirty from the moment I arrived. There was a cockroach crossing the floor, a white stain on the couch, and a terrible smell in the lobby. The bathroom curtain was see-through, so there’s no privacy. The walls also do nothing to block sound, and I could hear the TV next door. Just a terrible stay.

The view was incredible, and I really enjoyed the food from room service. My only issue was getting around: the main centre is a 15-20 minute walk away, so without a bike you’re walking or taking taxis. Otherwise, no complaints about my stay at Phoenix Hotel.

Ophelia - Tu at the front desk gave us such a warm welcome and took great care of us. The rest of the staff were attentive too, and our clean room had lovely views of the river and city. I was very happy with our stay at the Phoenix Hotel and would come back. It felt luxurious and memorable.
