Azoma Hotel

The staff's attitude was disappointing, and the room itself was dirty. There was lots of hair, the linens looked as if someone had already used them, and the bathroom smelled awful. I've stayed in many hotels, but this was a terrible first for me. I was very dissatisfied and won't return. Customers should think twice about staying here.

The booking app showed one price, but at the hotel they said they'd add 50,000 VND per night or cancel the booking. I've stayed in hotels all over, and I've never come across anything so strange.

The billing was misleading and didn't match the listed rates. They quoted 750k VND for a night, or 500k VND for a stay without an overnight. I'd already paid for the room and only checked out late before heading to the airport that night, without staying overnight, but they still charged me 750k VND. They said I hadn't checked out that morning, so the system had only taken a deposit, and since I hadn't actually left the room, I had to pay whatever it charged. The staff seemed unsure what to say and called the owner for guidance. They told the owner I was rushing to the airport and asked him to speak with me. On speakerphone, he said I should settle it quickly and leave because I was in a hurry, and showed no willingness to hear me out. The room door wouldn't lock. I warned the staff repeatedly, but they seemed indifferent and didn't even know the lock was broken. I left the key behind when I went out, and when I returned that evening, the room was still dirty. The hotel is on a busy road at a four-way intersection. The soundproofing is poor, and constant car honking makes it very noisy.

I left my luggage at the hotel in the morning and came back in the afternoon to check in for one day. They saw I was a foreigner and charged me 900,000 VND. I chose not to stay, but still had to pay 400,000 VND. What an impressive display of customer service.
