Chikoo Homestay by OYO Rooms

Check-in was difficult because there's no reception and the owners are often away. You have to unlock the front gate yourself. The owners were a little friendly, but not welcoming, and they didn't offer anything. You can't even buy water. The location is okay. The room was filthy, with clumps of black hair on the floor and bed. It looked like it hadn't been swept or cleaned in weeks or months, so I was concerned the sheets hadn't been cleaned either. The beds have only a thin memory foam topper on a frame, barely a mattress, and weren't comfortable. Hot water in the shared showers was rare, and three rooms per floor share them. I've never posted a bad review before, but I want to warn people, even if the price looks appealing. I'm hoping the owners see this and make changes soon. They could at least sweep the floors.

We left Chikoo Homestay after one night and asked for a full or partial refund. The owner refused and reacted aggressively, making it clear they weren't interested in our concerns or compensation. The room was filthy and damp, and breathing, let alone sleeping, was difficult. The shared bathroom was just as neglected, with mold and grime throughout. From the moment we arrived, the owner's hostility and rudeness made the stay miserable. With the filthy accommodation and no concern for guests, I'd avoid Chikoo Homestay.

1/10. We only used the homestay for four hours to sort our things and freshen up, but the shared bathroom was so dirty we couldn't use it. There were cigarettes and hair on the floor. The room and toilet were filthy, as if they hadn't been cleaned in months, and the whole area smelled bad. The house was dark because the lights were always off, and the owner was rude. It's cheap, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. The place should be clean and the owner friendly. Never book here, try Airbnb instead.

Avoid this place. The owner was rude and spoke no English. He banged loudly on my door demanding money, when he should have asked before or after checkout. The rooms smelled of mold and might make you ill. They were dirty, with grime everywhere, and the sheets smelled and had the previous guest's hair on them. The bathroom was rotten and outdated, and the place was not maintained at all. Don't book until they renovate. You could get sick, trust me.
