Danly Hotel

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and getting around is easy. Lotte Mall is just a few metres away, with everything you might need. The staff were friendly too. Breakfast was good, just don’t expect a five-star spread.

We only stayed because an airline problem left us needing somewhere, and the room was miserable. The aircon was busted and blew hot air, while Hanoi had its lowest AQI ever that day and night, so opening the window wasn’t an option. We asked to have it fixed or move rooms, but they wouldn’t help. The front desk lady was polite, though no use with the aircon. The building looks grand outside and downstairs, but the area is very, very noisy. The breakfast buffet seemed to have a decent selection, but it closed early and was being taken apart before 9am, even though we were told it ran until 10am. There was dirt and sand on the beer tops in the fridge, so we had to clean them ourselves. The doormen were wonderful with our luggage when we arrived and left. There are steps up, which made handling heavy bags difficult.

The staff at Danly Hotel were friendly and willing to help, and check-in and checkout were efficient. With reception available 24/7, it also suits guests on different schedules. It’s a central spot with easy access to attractions, shopping centers and public transport, making it practical for work or leisure trips. Our room was clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a minibar. Housekeeping kept things tidy and fresh. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was a pleasant place to rest. The restaurant serves local and international dishes, and breakfast had enough variety to get the day started. Dining felt basic compared with a higher-end hotel, but was fine if you want a simple meal without going out. There’s a small fitness center and meeting rooms as well as the restaurant. They’re functional, though not as extensive as facilities at a larger hotel. Danly is a solid three-star choice for affordable accommodation with basic amenities. It offers good value if location and simplicity matter more than luxury or a wide range of services.

The location was convenient, and the room was new and lovely, with decor that felt really luxurious. Check-in was quick and the staff were super friendly.
