Gloud Hotel

The executive room was spacious, and the jacuzzi worked perfectly. The bed and pillows were comfy, and the aircon got cold. Breakfast was okay, not bad at all, and they make mean coffee in the lounge. Love it.

I was in a hurry after a late flight, trying to check in, unpack, shower, and get to a client dinner. Instead, I found a string of problems at Gloud Hotel. Hanoi was having a cold spell, but the room was chilly because the heat didn’t work. The shower wouldn’t drain, and I couldn’t get hot water. The phone didn’t work either, so I had to get dressed and go down to reception to explain. They sent someone to help. The shower turned out to be clogged with hair. The heat only worked if the heat was turned on next door in the fitness center, which was very strange and something reception should have explained at check-in. I ended up late for my appointment, and Gloud offered apologies and a free drink. The next day they offered me a ride to the airport, but my ride had already arrived by then. It would have helped if they’d told me the night before. There were a lot of issues that could have been handled better, so I’m sharing what happened to help others make an informed choice.

Roy helped me find my room key after I misplaced it at checkout. I appreciated the hospitality from him and all the Gloud Hotel staff. It was a pleasure staying here, and I’d definitely recommend checking out this hotel.

Room service was good, and the staff were very helpful, especially Roy. He’s a really nice person. Thank you for the warm hospitality 😇
