We had a reservation, but when my partner and I arrived they said the hostel was full. It was around 21:30 on a Saturday, so finding somewhere else was really difficult. The staff were very impolite and barely spoke English. While I was explaining that we'd booked, the receptionist walked away halfway through and didn't come back. Completely unhelpful.

The room was old and had no blanket. The staff were unprofessional, and I left feeling disappointed and cheated. I asked about the motorbike rental rate and was told 100k for 24 hours. The next day, when I got the bike, they charged 200k because I was riding from Hanoi to Ninh Binh province. I was angry. If I rent a motorbike for 24 hours, I should be able to go where I want during that time. I can't accept the price going up like that.

The room was shabby, and being right on the freeway made it very noisy. They couldn't find my booking and raised the price, then the next morning when I was leaving they found it and wanted me to pay for three nights. I had a bad feeling when I saw 'Sinh Cafe tour' on the front of the building. Avoid this hotel. Scammers.

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable enough for a budget stay. Street-facing rooms get a lot of traffic noise. The annoying thing is that staff sometimes cheekily turn off both the hot water and the electricity.

The room was clean and not damp, despite a damp smell we noticed. I think they may just have had a load of laundry going. We had everything we needed for a good price, so I can't really complain.
