Hanoi Inn Guesthouse

The staff are such a pleasure to talk with. They work hard to help, and in my first hour at the hotel I learned more Vietnamese than I had in two weeks in Thailand. That’s some really great service!

We’ve stayed here three times and would gladly return. The staff are friendly, speak English well, and are knowledgeable and dependable when it comes to travel advice. We booked tours at the hotel, including Ha Long Bay and Sapa trips with a night at the hotel, and had a great time. We paid budget prices but got high-class tours, and the atmosphere was great too. The location is right in the Old Quarter near the night market and Hoan Kiem Lake, one of the best spots in Hanoi. Our rooms were spacious, clean, nicely appointed, and had balconies; they were cleaned daily. Breakfast had both Western and Vietnamese choices. We recommend it to other travellers.

The staff were a big part of what made this welcoming guesthouse so nice. Pham Tra My was especially helpful with directions and general guidance around Hanoi, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The place is very clean and close to the city centre, making a handy base for seeing the sights. I’ll definitely stay again when I return to Vietnam.

The sunset view from the sky bar was beautiful. It’s near the walking street, and the room was clean and nice. The staff were really friendly too!
