Hanoi Lakeside Premium Hotel

The location in the city is great, and the staff were lovely. They were sweet and let me check in early, which I really appreciated. Still, I moved elsewhere after one night because I wanted somewhere better and more comfortable. In person, the place looked much older than the photos and needed a lot of sprucing up. It wasn’t very clean either, and I kept finding black hairs even though I’m fair-haired. Getting to the room meant walking through a massage parlour, rather than a normal hotel lobby. My room was the only one on its floor, and the area outside it, by the elevator, was very dirty. I could manage one night, but I think it should cost half as much, and I wouldn’t stay longer.

We had a great seven-night stay and will definitely come back when we return. The location is fantastic, with a supermarket across the road and restaurants all around. We never had to walk more than five minutes to get anywhere. Reception staff always greeted us with a hello or good morning, and the maid left the room spotless every day.

The rooms are on the small side, but very clean, and the AC worked well. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. It’s an easy walk around the Old Quarter and to the Lake. We really enjoyed our stay :)

We had an amazing stay, with a fantastic location and very friendly staff. My husband left his laptop at the hotel when we went to Ha Long Bay, and they kept it safe until we got back to Hanoi. Highly recommend!
