2/10
The bed and floor were both hard, there were no windows, and nobody could sleep well, including my wife and kid. It’s around a 20 minute drive from the Old Quarter, far from the fun things to do, and the staff didn’t speak any English. I live in China now, so I think about prices in Chinese terms rather than USD, and even at 20 dollars a night I wasn’t happy with the value. Fifteen years ago, as a single guy, I probably would’ve been fine with this for 15-20 bucks. The 9+ rating I saw on Booking had me expecting better, and I was disappointed.

The rooms were basic but clean, and I liked how peaceful it felt even with busy streets nearby.

The rooms were pleasant and clean, with reasonable rates. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and it’s easy to get around from the hotel, which is near the city center. The staff are enthusiastic.
