The owner was super kind, so we'd definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Hanoi. Finding the place took a few tries through the small streets, but we got there in the end. There are lots of cute cats, and the rooms are on the third and fourth floors. You do have to carry your suitcase upstairs.

The location was perfect for sightseeing, food, coffee, and shopping during our couple of days here in December. Lam was so kind and helpful. He came out at night to meet us and show us the way to the homestay, and even made us a delicious cup of matcha while we were there. And the cats! I was sad to leave because I knew I'd miss them. We only saw them a couple of times during our short stay, but they'll stay dear to my heart. It's a cute, well-maintained homestay, and if you love cats, you'll surely love it too, hehe.

The room was cozy and clean, though I was too busy taking pictures of the cats to get any photos of it. Those cats are almost too cute. You'll be sad to leave them and might not feel like going out to explore 😆 For my first time in Hanoi, Lam made us feel safe and welcome. The homestay has a cozy, charming, home-like feel, and I could tell he puts real effort and sincerity into hosting.

We booked the two bedrooms and had the place to ourselves, which meant we could cook in the kitchen or relax and work in the living room, which used to be a cafe. We didn't have to share with strangers. There's a main gate and CCTV, and the community feels safe, quiet, and very much like home. It's a five to ten minute walk to the lively old quarter, with enough interesting things along the way that the walk doesn't feel long. The place has everything we needed, from kitchenware like a stove, microwave, oven, and utensils to water heaters and queen sized beds. Bring your personal belongings and you could live here. It felt so much like home. Lam was an amazing host, always responsive and attentive to what we needed. He even cooked lunch for us, when he had time, since he can also be busy with his other businesses. Blue is a lovely cat, and if you're a cat person, you'll love staying here. If you want privacy, just close the door and Blue won't come in. I highly recommend the place. You get more service than you paid for. P.S. No bedroom photo from me, our luggage and stuff had made a mess.

The stairs are a bit awkward, with narrow space that makes it hard to carry luggage up to the rooms. Still, it's a really good place, and the cats are great ❤️ If you like cats, this is the place to stay. The host is friendly, replies quickly, is always available to help solve problems, and suggests nearby places to visit. They even put out lint removers for cat hair.
