Thanh Huong 99 Hotel - Noi Bai

I found this clean, quiet, decent place at a very affordable price for a few hours’ rest and to get ready for my late flight out of Hanoi. I wouldn’t mind staying for a night or two and having more of a look around the neighborhood next time.

There are three double beds in one room, so this is a great option for families spending the night near the airport. The beds were really comfortable, and the shower got very hot. You have to pull the knob and then turn it. It is noisy because the place is right beside the airport. You can walk there, and pick up some food on the way since airport food is super expensive.

For the money, it was great for a quick sleep after our delayed night flight. We told the host in advance, but sadly didn’t expect the flight to be delayed by more than two hours. He kindly woke up in the middle of the night to receive us. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It took about 15 minutes to walk there from the airport, so it really isn’t far, though we had some trouble finding the airport exit 😅. Noise might be the one downside. We could hear a roster signing at around 02h or 03h. I slept fine, though fatigue might have been why. If you’re a light sleeper, you might need earplugs.

For this price, this was the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I’d even bring my mom here. It worked perfectly for arriving in Vietnam late or catching an early flight: I walked there easily after landing from Tokyo around 11:30 at night. I got a SIM card at the airport, though the currency exchange counters were already closed. The sheets were clean, the area had plenty of good food, and the owner slept at the desk for late check-ins.
