Acnos Grand Hotel

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with more choice than I expected, and the Pho was excellent. The hotel is clean and tidy, a solid 3 star and really not bad. It's a bit of a walk to central District 1, but the route feels safe and interesting if you watch out for the crazy traffic when stepping onto the street from the broken footpaths. That's something you have to do throughout Saigon.

The location made it easy to get around, with a ride to any tourist spot taking less than 10 minutes. Vĩnh, the manager, was friendly and pointed me toward some great places to visit, and all the staff were incredibly kind. Breakfast was tasty, and the hotel was always clean and well maintained. It was definitely tourist, foreigner, and children friendly. I was beyond impressed and pleased by my stay, more than a 5 star experience for me. I'll book again!

Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was passable, with a nice omelette station. Still, the spread felt like it was missing something. The rooms were ok, fairly modern, but plain and lacking character, maybe. The pool is tiny and right beside the busy road in front of the hotel. The location is central.

The street outside is extremely busy around the clock, and the small outdoor pool is very public, right beside it near the main entrance. Rooms are nice, but neither the front nor back has much of a view. The staff are polite and very helpful, and breakfast is nice. There's a beautiful monument to a Buddhist monk and lovely gardens just around the corner.
