Eden Garden Hotel is a decent affordable option in Ho Chi Minh City, especially if you want to be right in District 1 near the main tourist spots. We spent a week there, and getting around was easy. Breakfast was the same Vietnamese-style menu each day, but the food was good and the repetition didn’t bother us much. The main issue was housekeeping. Our blanket had stains when we arrived, and when we asked about it, they only shook it out and straightened it instead of washing or replacing it. Room cleaning was minimal throughout the week.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet had a decent range of options. Staff were professional, and the stay was good value. Having a souvenir shop just across the way was handy for last-minute gifts.
10/10
The room was tidy and clean, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was good, too. The hotel is very close to Bui Viên Walking Street. I entered the wrong date when booking, but after I explained the mistake, the owner kindly let me check in two days later without charging extra. Thanks to the owner, and keep it up.

We spent five nights here, October 2-7, and didn’t run into any problems. The service was superb. They even lent us a weighing scale and got boxes for our extra baggage. Breakfast was good each day, and housekeeping came daily even when we were out. That was fine with us, and none of our belongings went missing.
4/10
The receptionists weren’t as courteous as staff at other places. The property also feels worn, right down to the bedding. The bathroom fixtures need attention: the washbasin shifts with the slightest pressure, the bidet holder is barely attached to the wall, and the hot water runs out.
