Halo Serviced Apartment

The photos are heavily edited, and the place looked quite different in reality. See my pictures. We booked one apartment but were given another, with a different layout. It smelled, was dirty, and was very worn out. The only good thing was the old man, who was nice to us, and we really appreciate that.

The customer service was very, very bad. I paid a higher price on traveloka for a room with a balcony, but when I arrived, someone else had already been occupying it for a week. In the end, we had to accept a cheaper room and got no refund. At checkout, they tried to make me leave early, at 10am, so they could take another guest. Be careful with this apartment. It may show as available online or through a booking service, but that doesn’t mean it’s available in reality.

The landlord was kind, quick to help when needed, and the service was really good. Our room was nicely decorated and well equipped. It was also less than five minutes from the center of District 1. I stayed for two nights, June 18-20, 2018. A really good choice for visitors.

The host was friendly, and the place was good value. The mattress was very old, though, and I could feel the springs pressing into my back. It could use replacing for future guests.
