It’s more like an Airbnb than a regular hotel, but I had a nice time here. Rovis Coffee is on the ground floor instead of a lobby or reception desk, and there’s no receptionist. The manager tries to reach you on WhatsApp or another messaging app. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good renovation, kitchenware, and a stove for cooking or heating food. There’s a washing machine and dryer on the roof floor, which is handy for a longer stay. The location is very good, only a few minutes’ walk from the War Remnants Museum and Independent Palace, with lots of restaurants nearby.

I booked through Expedia, but after looking more closely, I started to wonder if this might be a fake or ghost hotel. The hotel doesn’t show up on Google Maps street view, and the photos look generic and not very convincing. I canceled and got a refund rather than risk arriving and finding no hotel there. Then I booked somewhere else, where the photos clearly showed the name and the Google street view showed both the hotel and its name. Do your research so you don’t get scammed.
