Smiley Apartment 3

There were cockroaches all over the sofa and bed, and it smelled of cigarettes and mold. Don't come here. I left after paying and got no refund. On the last night of my reservation, I returned to bring back the keys and went up to check whether I'd left anything. They'd already rented the apartment to someone else, even though I still had the keys.

I asked in messages before booking whether the accommodation had a washing machine and was told that two types of rooms did. A few minutes later, I booked the room advertised with an in-room washing machine for my aunt for four nights, as shown in the attached conversation photos. I then asked them to confirm the booking was for that room and gave them my aunt's check-in time. Half a day later, they told me the place I'd booked had no washing machine, and that only their District 2 accommodation had one. This was really frustrating. My aunt is elderly and was due to arrive late, around 9.30 - 10.30pm, so I'd tried to arrange everything before her flight landed. Instead, there were already so many problems that I worried she wouldn't have a smooth check-in. To spare her the stress, I cancelled. It wasted my time and left me really annoyed.

The room suited me perfectly, and being so central made it easy to get around. I stayed for more than a year, and the staff and service were consistently excellent. As a foreigner just getting settled in Vietnam, having Dolly there to help was especially useful. I moved only to be nearer my girlfriend. Otherwise, I could have stayed indefinitely.

The apartment was in good condition, and having our own space was nice. We chose it so we could cook, but there weren't enough utensils, and we had to buy everything, even salt and oil. The staff didn't seem very concerned. It also felt a bit pricey for what you get, with no extras like rentals or taxi service.
