The room was dirty, with stained sheets, a mattress that felt like nothing but springs, and handprints and dirty footprints on the walls. The bathroom was moldy and dirty too. Before that, the woman who greeted me had been rude and abrupt, and when I went to the room someone was fiddling with the door lock. You have to lock it with a manual key, which added to feeling unsafe. I lasted less than five minutes before checking out and moving to another hotel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We booked online, but at check-in they took us to a “sister” hotel instead. The room was old, the furniture was old, and the bathroom was scary. Horrible stay, don’t book here. After staying in HCMC many times, I think it’s smarter to find a hotel a little outside District 1, where places are nicer, and use Grab to get around.

The location was the only good thing. The room was dark and dirty, even with a window. Cleanliness was a no, the facilities were a no, and there wasn’t even a hair dryer.

They upgraded us for free to a big family room because it was available, which was really kind. The hotel is in a great spot, in front of a nice park and close to downtown. Street noise was no problem for us, just normal for Vietnam.

Worn, outdated rooms, and the bathroom had a strong musty smell. The location near the expat street is good, though. It’s quiet, convenient for getting around, and reasonably priced.
