Valentine Hotel

The location is great, right in the center and close to all the sightseeing spots, but the noise ruined my stay. Music plays 24 hours a day, so getting any rest is impossible. The cleaning staff, though not reception, also showed no respect. They kept going up and down the stairs in high-heeled slippers until 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning, making a loud, constant clack-clack through the night. It was incredibly disrespectful. Unless you sleep very heavily or don't mind nonstop music and noise, I'd look elsewhere. It's a pity, because the location is so good, but the lack of quiet and staff professionalism was very disappointing.

I really liked the energy around Pham Ngu Lao, with lots of street food and inexpensive places to stay. For laundry, Dan’s Wash & Stay at 185/10 Pham Ngu Lao is an easy option. It's open 24/7, self-service, and costs 30K per load, which was perfect for getting clean clothes quickly on a long trip.

The early morning arrival turned into a really upsetting experience. I had booked several days ahead, received confirmation, and specifically asked to check in at 4:00 AM. At the desk, a male staff member was rude and dismissive. He said the hotel was full, refused to check us in, and made my mother and me leave without an apology or any other option. It disrupted our plans and caused a lot of distress. I can't recommend Valentines Luxury Hotel (27-29 Bui Vien, Ho Chi Minh City), especially for families, women, or anyone arriving late at night or early in the morning.

The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, and I even found cockroaches in our room. Cleanliness fell short, and the constant day and night noise comes with being right in the middle of Bui Vien Street's nightlife. We stayed at Valentine Hotel and were disappointed. It might suit solo male travelers specifically looking for a red-light, party-heavy street, but otherwise I'd stay elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend it to families or anyone hoping for a comfortable, quiet stay.
