Bamboo Hill Villa

The room was spotless, the location was good, and for the price we felt it was well worth it. Breakfast was okay, and there's a pool. Renting a bike or scooter is easy, and the man who runs the place was warm, helpful, and accommodating. We stayed six nights. One night, the outdoor AC unit mounted on our room's wall shook so badly that the bed practically moved and we couldn't sleep. At some point after midnight, someone turned their AC off, which we were glad about.

The shower pressure was terrible, and there were odd sounds in the walls that we couldn't figure out. Then a gecko dropped from the ceiling in the middle of the night and splatted on the floor 😂 Mystery solved, and geckos are pretty decent roommates anyway. The rooms were lovely and clean, the manager was a really friendly, helpful, cool guy, and the pool looked great. Scooter hire was 100k a day, and there was an adorable litter of kittens around at the time. I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it.

The advice about what to do nearby was great, and staying on this backstreet gave us the feeling that all the residents knew one another, almost like a “mini village”. The hotel next door also has a great motorbike service. With clean rooms and a great location, this is a really good place to stay in ninh binh. Highly recommend it.

The street is peaceful and quiet, and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good too: you pick what you'd like in the morning and they make it fresh. The pool is small but clean, just right for cooling down after a hot day out. I'm traveling around Vietnam with my girlfriend for 20 days, and this was among the cleanest places we've stayed. The front desk guy speaks great English, which is pretty rare here. Laundry costs 40,000vnd/kg, and scooter hire is about €4/day. I'd recommend staying here.
