Metta Homestay Hue

If you're staying here to practice at the pagoda or nunnery, Chays corner restaurant is down the street and really delicious, even if you're not vegetarian. This is a great homestay for that.

I visited Huế recently. The reception staff were really sweet, suggested a few places, and also helped me pack up a parcel. The room was clean with warm lighting. I especially liked the bathroom, it was so spacious.

The room looks nice, but it was moldy, and mosquitoes kept biting me so I couldn't sleep, even with the mosquito plug the receptionist gave me. Customer care needs work. The receptionist's help was very poor, and they nearly lost my ID card. Since I don't know Hue at all, I expected a clean place to stay and help getting around. Instead, the staff seemed quite superficial when talking with customers. The home is a fair distance from places to eat, and there are only a few temples nearby. The woman at reception when I checked in on Saturday was very good, but for all these reasons I definitely won't return. Thank you.

The linen-covered beds made for a cool, pleasant night's sleep, and the rooms are neatly decorated. Metta has a distinctive beauty and offers a very comfortable stay, even though it's a short distance from the Hue Citadel. I also liked that the homestay gives guests bottled water in glass containers, an environmentally friendly choice that suits Hue's climate.
