The room itself was comfortable, but that was the only good part. We asked to cancel because the photos and the actual experience were so far apart, and the staff couldn’t help. They were inefficient, unresponsive, and seemed untrained. Even getting an iron was impossible. After we complained formally, they couldn’t offer even a basic gesture like breakfast. The photos of the common areas are misleading. The pool looked neglected and abandoned, and the rooftop shown in the pictures bore no relation to reality. The toilets by reception were filthy, which says a lot about the hotel’s standards. Service was pitiful. This was our worst stay in a long time, and Ivy Hotel Nha Trang is by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in years. If you only need a cheap place to sleep, fine, but don’t expect hospitality or even the basics. Avoid it at all costs.

The facilities and customer service let us down. There’s practically no gym, and the rest of the facilities don’t feel like those of a 4-star hotel. We weren’t happy with the stay, though it might have been fine if sold as a budget, low-end place. The ‘sea view’ rooms felt misleading. Small bathroom windows look out toward a view blocked by skyscrapers, so it seems to qualify as a sea view only on a technicality. Breakfast was poor for a 4-star hotel. Eggs and pancakes were made fresh, which was a plus, but the precooked food was poor, and the 6:30am-9am serving hours weren’t very appealing either.

Right in the city center, this place was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, and it had all the amenities we needed for getting around. The room was very clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, so we slept well. Breakfast runs from 6:30-9:00 AM and features authentic Vietnamese dishes. The rooftop pool and gym were a real highlight, along with a 360-degree view of the city. Getting around was easy, with transport and everything else we needed nearby. A very comfortable stay, highly recommended!

On the 11th floor, I didn't hear any traffic, and the city view was great. The place looked as advertised, tidy and well kept. Check-in was quick, and the room had what I needed. The big bed was two singles pushed together, though, leaving a gap down the middle. The duvet was an odd size and didn't quite cover it.

The room was clean, freshly painted, and had a nice hot shower. I found the central Nha Trang location handy for getting around the city and nearby area, and it seems well suited to a solo traveller or couple staying a few weeks. The lifts could take a long time, and the shower drained slowly, making it hard to get the water away. That may just have been an issue with my room.
