Maple Leaf Hotel & Apartment

I stayed for a week and really loved it. It was quiet and secure, with a nice local feel and a short walk to the beach. The breakfast had a great selection of good quality food, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I had a very disappointing stay. Some of my belongings were mishandled or left unattended, and the staff took no responsibility. When I politely asked the front desk for help, they were rude and completely indifferent. It felt as if nobody cared about listening or trying to fix the problem. For a hotel that says it offers good service, that kind of neglect and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless staff training and customer care improve significantly.

There are reasonable prices here, and some rooms have a kitchen area if you want to cook. The hotel is in the city center, a busy area with lots of tourists, restaurants, food shops, and convenience stores. It’s about a 300-meter walk to the beach. A few sedans can park in the basement, and security guards outside can help with parking. Reception is staffed around the clock. The rooms are nice, and the building has an elevator and a small hallway.

The room itself was okay, but there were several problems. The internet was so slow it was basically unusable, and check-in still wasn’t ready even though I arrived an hour after the check-in time. The receptionist was moody and unhelpful. While I was asleep, the caretaker opened my door to take photos of something, even after I shouted that I was busy.
