M Continental by Mandala Mui Ne – 24 Hours Stay

Weekdays are almost empty here, while weekends can turn into a party. It’s a good resort for families, with plenty of pools, a kids’ playground, and great facilities. The nearest town is about 6 km away, so it’s far from activities. You can ask staff to rent a bike or car, though the price is a bit higher, understandably, since they have to deliver it to the resort.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and nice, but the place feels soulless. It’s a cluster of overpriced shops and huge buildings outside town, with nothing around. The beach is awful and very dirty. Service was unresponsive too. The safe was locked when we arrived, and they couldn’t get it open even after a whole day. If you like a comfortable but impersonal environment, it might suit you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The resort is amazing and has all the facilities you might need. I paid $15 for a room for three people.

The hotel was clean and modern, and I liked the room, its amenities, and the many pools. The room was spacious, but there wasn’t much storage for clothes or small items, and nowhere to dry a wet swimsuit. I could also hear noise from the hall. The view of the sea was beautiful, though the buildings look monstrous and can be a bit scary at first. The area is windy, which I liked in the hot weather. Getting to the parking area was easy enough by foot, escalator, or golf car. The hotel is far from Mui Ne city centre, though, and without a car or scooter getting to interesting places is a hassle. Before we arrived, I asked if they could help us rent a scooter in town. They said they didn’t provide scooter rentals. When I clarified that I only needed help finding a good rental shop and possibly arranging delivery, they didn’t reply. It was fine for a short stay, but I wouldn’t stay more than three days because I’d be bored. I can’t imagine spending a week here. It didn’t have the feel of a five-star hotel, and the service wasn’t anything special. I’d consider coming if they were offering promotional prices.
