Blue Waves Hotel

Really good spa, 100%.

I arrived in extreme heat and there was no AC controller in the room. When I asked the receptionist for it, they wouldn't help. I then called the support number, and the owner berated me for asking, as though I were harassing him. Eventually a room attendant came, unlocked my room without permission, and turned the AC on with a remote she had brought. I asked to keep it, but she refused. I gently took it from her hand, and she didn't resist, as if she'd realized the game was over. I locked her out, cooled the room, and reported what happened to Agoda. Luckily, I got three of my four nights refunded. I booked a new room at a reputable hotel and left as soon as the sun began to go down. I believe this was a scam intended to make me forfeit all four nights. If I'd left before filing a complaint, the owner would have succeeded.

One thing to plan for is finding the place on Grab. It can be tricky to locate, so arranging a ride may take a little extra coordination. Still, Blue Waves Grand World Phu Quoc was a great fit for convenience, with attractions, restaurants, and entertainment just a short walk away. The service stayed good throughout, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The amenities were well maintained and made the stay comfortable. We had a wonderful time, and I'd recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight for me, with tasty options and something different to pick each day. The hotel is also handily placed, with shops, cafes, and transport nearby. My room was just as described, clean and comfortable, and housekeeping kept it tidy throughout. The staff were polite and ready to help. I had a lovely stay and would happily come back or recommend it to friends.
