Khu Nghi Duong Green Bungalow Phu Quoc Hotel

The setting is peaceful, and the beach, restaurants, and shops are easy to reach. It’s about a 10-minute walk along a lit road, or just 2 minutes by scooter. Our room was roomy, had air conditioning, and was serviced daily. The staff were friendly, and the little outdoor pool was nice. There’s also a shared kitchen for an extra fee and motorbike rental. You might spot a gecko now and then, but that’s normal. A really nice place to stay 🙂

The stay was badly affected by repeated power cuts, which meant we couldn’t use basic things like lights, air conditioning, or chargers. There were other problems too, including ants, cockroaches, and construction noise. Our booking terms weren’t honored, and we’re seeking a full refund through Agoda for the financial and emotional impact of the stay. Jenny, the hotel manager, offered to move us to Green Garden Bungalow hotel at Long Beach from Dec 3rd to 12th. At check-in, though, she tried to end our booking and deny us access to our room. We had to threaten to call the police before we could get in. It caused a lot of stress during our vacation. We stayed quiet afterward because we were afraid she might try to remove us again, but we kept photos, videos, and other proof of what we felt was unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.

The staff were excellent, and the location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants close enough to walk to. There are 13 rooms squeezed into a pretty small area, though, and only two poolside beds. For one night it worked well, but it felt like we were right on top of the other guests, with some noise too. I’d rate it 4.5 out of 5, very positive like the other reviews.

I liked how responsive and kind the guesthouse hosts were. Whenever an issue came up, they replied quickly and tried their best to sort it out. Everyone shares the kitchen, which turned out to be a fun way to meet and chat with other people.
