Green Park Hotel Quy Nhon

I checked out after two nights and found another equally comfortable hotel for only 300k VND, with a smart TV in the room. Some local guests at Green Park were also noisy late into the night and should have been more considerate of others. I’ve lived in Vietnam for 10 years and stayed in many hotels and resorts here. Green Park’s rooms are comfortable, but at 500,000 VND or more, I think the price is too high for what you get. They have a rooftop cafe, so they really could or should include breakfast. The rooms didn’t feel worth the 550k VND rate.

They refused to budge on the price or offer a discount, even though we’d paid more than at many Quy Nhon hotels and got no decent sleep. Rooster fighting is illegal, and this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Their slogan on the website is "A wonderful life", and they say they want guests to have a comfortable, enjoyable, unforgettable time at Green Park Hotel. It was unforgettable, all right. The staff have no idea what hospitality or service means. There are about 20 rooms, and we had the top one while the hotel wasn’t very busy. We paid 500k Dong per night, and the room smelled a bit like rice wine. Their website says pets are not allowed, but at 3 in the morning we woke to a large black fighting rooster in the next room, making noise every few seconds until 6:30. I went next door and found two men watching the rooster, so I asked what they were doing with one there. Then I called reception and asked why there was a chicken on the 8th floor. They said it belonged to a customer who was friends with the owner. We told them we were customers too and asked them to do something. They did nothing, just said those people would be leaving around 7.

Clean, new room with a good view, close to a park and supermarket.
