Labe Hotel Phu Quoc - Hon Thom Island

The rooftop was a lovely surprise, we could watch fireworks there every night. Labe is also close to Vietnam Select, a big minimarket where you can find just about everything, and Apollo Cafe is nearby. It’s not right in the middle of the crowds, but only about 10 minutes from the center. Our room had enough space for four, and breakfast was included every day. The pho was much better than the pho I tried at some other places here. They cleaned the room and changed the towels daily. For four people, it was a good choice at an affordable price for my first trip to Phu Quoc.

Breakfast was a real letdown for us as vegetarians and vegans. We were left with fruit and bread, with no proper alternatives. The room we got also didn’t have the kitchen I’d booked for our three-night stay. From day one, things were frustrating: the bathroom door jammed, and staff took quite a while to fix it. Luckily, nobody was inside when it happened. On the second day the AC stopped working, so we had to move rooms with the kids and all our luggage. Then we were asked to move back the following day after the AC was fixed. The whole process was chaotic and exhausting. For what we paid, the service was far below expectations, and the experience was very disappointing.

Anh was so helpful, and the hotel itself was great. Our room was spacious and clean, and the laundry service was top notch. We were told about the hidden 9:30pm fireworks from the rooftop, too. Even after checking out to visit the cable car and water park, they lent us towels to use. 100% recommended!

The main problem was the noise. They were doing loud repairs and drilling all day, so it was impossible to sleep in the morning or afternoon, even after a tiring trip. Guests should be told about this before booking, because it really disturbed our stay. Otherwise, it’s a great hotel with a nice view and pleasant rooms. The bed was comfortable, the shower clean, and everything else was standard and good. It’s also near the night market, so we could walk back quickly in the evening without needing a taxi.
