The beach had plastic washed ashore, and the place could be paradise with better management. Our four days there were uncomfortable. The island was full, so we felt trapped. At first the staff tried to accommodate us, but eventually it seemed they were making fun of us in Vietnamese. The food was mostly packet stuff and below average. Inside, the sheets were stained, the pillows mouldy, and the bathroom filthy. Rats ran across the ceiling, and one fell through the roof at one point. The door locks were rusty, and I had to fix the key myself. The bed was so uncomfortable I’m surprised we didn’t get bed bugs. The owners are apparently from the Czech republic and obviously don’t care.

The location was great and the food was good, but the rooms were in terrible shape. The mattress springs stuck out and made it impossible to sleep, the furniture was falling apart, the room was dirty, and there was no shower gel. I left after 2 days, even though I’d planned to stay 5.

The beach was covered in garbage and sharp objects, and the place was filthy. The food was disgusting. My friend and I couldn’t stay there, so we spent the afternoon trying to work out where to go. Everything advertised about the place felt deceptive, and the staff, when you could find them, couldn’t give a damn about you.

It was in a great spot by the beach, but getting anyone to clean the room seemed impossible. For some reason the staff wouldn’t clean it, and I had to go to the bar to get fresh towels.
