Viet Thanh Resort

The room was clean and had everything we needed, though it wasn’t anything fancy. We also liked being able to rent motorbikes here. Riding one was easily one of the most fun parts of our stay, and it made getting around much easier than relying on taxis or grab. Just be sure you’re comfortable riding, because traffic can get wild. Stay safe! My wife and I spent a couple of days here and had a wonderful time. The staff were sweet and easy to talk to, especially the woman at the front desk, who was really helpful and kind. The location is handy for getting to lots of places on the island, and it’s right on the beach. The beach was a bit dirty on our first day, then got cleaned the next day. Trash sometimes washes up around Phu quoc, even on the well-known beaches we visited, and I don’t think the hotel can control that. This is a safe, quiet, modest place by the ocean where you can relax. It’s a small locally owned business and felt like decent value for the money. If you want a high end luxury resort, it probably won’t suit you. There’s no room service or housekeeping coming several times a day, but we had what we needed.

The private beach was clean and lovely, and the restaurant food was amazing. Breakfast was delicious, too. Our room was clean, roomy, and had a nice view. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the motorbike we rented was good. Highly recommend this lovely resort.

Really good value, with the bungalows right by the beach. The rooms are large and well furnished, and their balconies look out over lush, beautifully kept gardens. The restaurant sits over the water, with fabulous sunset views and an extensive menu at good prices.

A friend suggested renting a seaside bungalow here, and the wooden bungalow was beautiful, surrounded by a lovely cool garden. From ours, it was just a step down to the sea. There are free sun loungers, and friends visiting us were able to use the chairs for free as well. The cheerful staff were great. We loved the delicious pad Thai at the beach restaurant, and the tuna was excellent. When we come to Vietnam again, we’ll visit Phu Quoc and stay at Viet Thanh resort again.
