I stayed just two nights, booked for May 24-26, and got there around 1 a.m. on the 25th. The hotel arranged airport transport for $20 USD, but the driver dropped me at the wrong hotel, so it took much longer to reach the right one. I’d booked a premium room, but its A/C didn’t work. They kept saying I was using it wrong and should wait for it to cool down. After spending all day in the heat, I was finally moved to a lower-grade room where the A/C worked. Construction noise was loud all day, and I recorded it in case they denied it later. I was very disappointed. Then I checked my Visa statement: the two nights were charged on the 26th, but I later saw another charge for two nights on the 29th. They refused to refund it, so I had to report fraud. Avoid this hotel, don’t give them your credit card, and check your statements. They add extra nights to unsuspecting foreign travelers.

We booked for two nights, got a better rate, and ended up staying four because the room was so comfortable. Our family of four visited in mid-October, during the off season, and had room 908. It had a great beach view, two comfortable queen beds with nice comforters, and an L-shaped padded sofa where we could sit and look out at the beach. After a month of travel in Vietnam, it was the first padded sofa we’d found in a room. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating with families. Housekeeping was included, with four bottles of water each day and instant coffee packets. Laundry was available for 50,000/kg. Keep in mind the area is pretty quiet in the off season, with few open shops and restaurants. Drive about 2 km north along the main beach strip to a square with lots of restaurants, shops, and an indoor market selling all kinds of apparel. There are so many vendors that you can barter for a better price. We only found that place on our last night. Otherwise, we’d have gone there every night to try different food stalls in the market.

The shore is about 300 m away. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though breakfast didn’t interest us. You can ask the lobby staff to arrange a taxi. There’s no laundry service.
