Waking up and stepping into the ocean to swim with turtles was such a treat. The beds in the fales were more comfortable than we expected, and the blinds kept out the nightly rain. Everything on Savaii island felt beautiful and special, and Titi and her family's kindness made this a stay we'll remember forever. Titi fed us so well and was incredibly kind. We stayed two nights in Tailua fales, and if we'd known how much we'd love it, we definitely would have stayed longer. Travel isn't about luxury for me, but those little moments that stay with you.

The bathrooms were super clean, and the grass between the huts and bathroom meant we didn't track sand into bed, which was a big plus. We stayed five nights, and Titi made everyone feel like family. The atmosphere was great. The rooms are basic, but breezy, with a plug, a light, and a small sitting area with a table. It's right on the beach. The portions were enormous and the food was mostly great. We had fresh fish several times and crab. It's Samoan food, so you can't be too fussy. They also let us use the fridge.

The mattresses were the most comfortable we'd slept on at any of the beach fales we visited, and the mosquito nets were roomy and fairly new. We had a lovely two-night stay at Tailua and felt incredibly welcome. The meals were delicious and huge. The beach has eroded quite a bit, but you can still get to it, and the lagoon is full of turtles. There are lots of places to stay around Savai'i Lagoon, and we were very happy with this one.

Fresh fruit stalls and a store are within walking distance, which was handy. We stayed four nights and loved it. Turtles swam right in front of our fale, and the food was fantastic. Titi is an amazing cook. I'd highly recommend this family-run place.

We got there late, but they still looked after us with a delicious dinner and breakfast. The price was very reasonable, and we enjoyed our stay. The room has no walls, just mosquito nets, so it was hot, though it was lovely to let the breeze through. The woven wall mats worked as screens and showed traditional knowledge in the way they used the materials. They looked nice too.
