The place looked much better in the photos. The beds were really uncomfortable, the bathroom flooded after a bath, and the door handles wouldn’t stay in the doors. The rooms smelled, maybe of cigarettes, so we couldn’t keep the windows or doors closed. One room had no working light, so we had to use our phones. Horrible, and not worth the money.

We arrived at night and had to find somewhere else to stay, even though we had paid for our reservation and were left with our money tied up. I booked Villa Bora in Boga online and paid the way they had instructed me to, by phone and online. When we got there, the owner refused to honor the reservation and asked us to pay again as if nothing had happened. This felt like a total scam and was one of the worst experiences we’ve had on a trip. I don’t trust the person managing these villas. Don’t book at Villa Bora or send money by phone or online.

The villas were horrible and very dirty. The pillows and quilts hadn’t been washed and were completely soaked. The windows didn’t close properly, and the furniture, which seemed to be from 30 years ago, was completely rotten.
