Albes Hotel

Very dirty.

There's free parking and Wi-Fi, but that was about the only good part. We didn't get a good deal here. We were in a tight spot, coming from the Beja region, and all the hotels were booked. The place wasn't clean. We hurriedly booked two rooms for €100 a day for four days, and it was awful. One bed had no mattress cover, the floor was dirty, and the bathroom had only a bar of soap, shampoo, and conditioner, excuse the expression. There was no soundproofing. The second room had a leaking air conditioner, and cobwebs everywhere from the lack of cleaning. Neither room had a fridge or even a kettle. We booked directly with the hotel, and they didn't mention a non-refundable policy, though Booking.com says it isn't refundable. We'll try to get a refund. I absolutely don't recommend it, there was no attention to detail at all.

Once I got into the room, the problems kept coming. The main light didn't work, so it was very dark, and the bed linen had stains. The floor was dirty, the slippers looked used, and the drawer held medication, used eyelashes, dirt, and hair. There was mold all over the bathroom and beard hairs in the sink. I called reception to complain, but the woman said there was no replacement. When I asked for a refund and apparently couldn't get one, they moved me to another room. It wasn't exactly clean either, but at least its bed linen was fresh. The rooms also aren't modern, the AC sits crooked on the wall, and the 15-inch monitor is completely useless. I'd reserved a room by phone in advance, yet on arrival the receptionist said they had to look for an available one. They found one quickly, but couldn't find its key, so gave me a universal key card for all the rooms. This hotel was a disaster, absolutely not recommended.

The bedding smelled like it hadn't just been washed, and the room was really dirty.
