Linzi and the staff were wonderful, really friendly, and made us feel at home with their warm, welcoming attitude. The owner, though, was confrontational and aggressive, constantly in our space, and incredibly rude. He made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and his unprofessional behavior nearly ruined the trip. It's a shame, because without those interactions I would have recommended the place completely. We won't return, and I'd advise anyone wanting a relaxed, enjoyable trip to stay elsewhere. The owner's attitude really soured our experience at Villa Surprise.

We had a very nice stay in Campsbay. Breakfast had everything we wanted, including fruit, cheese, eggs made as requested, yoghurt, and muesli. Rolf and the staff were excellent hosts, and the garden and pool are beautiful. The clean, comfortable rooms have lovely views, and the guesthouse is an easy walk from the beach.
