We've started thinking of ourselves as regular residents here since we stay whenever we're in the city. The reception team is coordinated and efficient, and some familiar faces have been there for as long as we can remember, still smiling. Our room was clean with a view, and room service responded quickly. I had complained to management after getting rotten food from the Spur menu on two consecutive occasions, first raising it with the restaurant. On my latest visit I found the hotel was now providing its own dinner, and I enjoyed the Durban-style breyani and curry. The mushroom soup was epic. The food was fresh and tasty, and it was presented well. I also have to mention PORTIA, who helped me make amendments for our conference. My sister, you're a rare gem, a glue holding things together. You're effective, quick to act and correct things, and always humble about seeking input. Keep that smile and professionalism.

The room was clean and fairly spacious, in a more US than European style. There's a restaurant that's quite okay, and guests can access the pool, though I didn't use it. My only real complaint was the AC, which didn't get very cold and left the room a bit too warm for me. Still, not bad overall.

The location puts you close to just about everything, including Ushaka Marine, the beach and pools, the Greyhound/intercape bus stop, and shops like shoprite. The room was clean and had a lovely view. There's a Spur restaurant, and room service orders go there, which is handy if you're in the mood for Spur. We enjoyed breakfast on both mornings, and it was tasty, though the pastry selection was limited to muffins and croissants. The swimming pool was clean and not too deep, with a lifeguard there during our visit for extra security.

From the evening staff I mostly deal with to the morning team, breakfast crew, and security, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. They're quick to respond to questions and requests across the board. Keep up the good work, it really does get noticed.
