Alison checked what time I'd arrive and even asked what I'd like for supper. The food was 👌🏼, and I enjoyed breakfast too. The room was clean and really nice, with everything I needed. She made sure I felt at home.

I called ahead while I was already in the area, looking for somewhere to stay, and asked if I could view the place before booking. They said yes, and I gave them my ETA. When my 14-year-old child and I arrived at the gate, I called again. A woman came out but left the gate closed and began questioning me: who I was, who had sent me, how I knew about the place, how I got there, where I was from and where I lived, and what I was doing there. I explained I was supporting a family member in hospital. She then asked which hospital and what was wrong with the patient. I stayed calm and answered everything except the diagnosis. I wanted to see how this inhumane, arrogant, unpleasant, threatening and provoking behavior from one adult woman toward another would end. By then I knew we weren't safe there, and I wouldn't risk going ahead with the booking. I'm horrified and disgusted, to put it politely, and still can't believe it. Never set foot there, you'll be treated like a suspected criminal. What threat did we pose, and what could justify treating an innocent woman and child that way? You should be ashamed of yourself. I wish the rating scale had a minus.

I barely slept and was frustrated by the internet. It failed for about 90% of our three-day stay, and even the cheap router kept needing a reset. The bed was very hard, and the pillows felt very cheap. Breakfast was okay, and Alison did make an effort to accommodate my gluten and lactose intolerance. The B&B neighbors were very noisy at 2am. We were parked in, though Alison made sure the cars were moved before we needed to leave. I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip or a family stay. My company had booked it, so we couldn't move somewhere else.

I loved the little patio for having my morning coffee, and the room had everything I needed. It's a cozy, clean BNB with really friendly service. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend this little gem.
