The room was basic and the bathroom was awful, with no Wi-Fi. Breakfast was terrible too. The coffee station was tucked out of sight, and it had plastic spoons. The sugar spoon was crusty, while the plastic coffee spoon was kept inside the coffee pot. Definitely not okay. I can see what they were aiming for, but the whole thing missed the mark.

We got a remote for the front gate, which made coming and going easy, and there was a communal kitchen. Our room had a double bed, two single beds, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. The host greeted us promptly and warmly. Everything was laid out well and made for an easy stay. Breakfast was included, and the weekend booking was good value.

We won't use this establishment again. On our first visit, the service was acceptable for what we paid, but this time the owner was rude, unaccommodating, and downright unpleasant. Our staff do physical work and the breakfast portion is small, so we asked if he'd cook ingredients we supplied. He agreed, though begrudgingly. One person at the head of the table couldn't eat the scrambled eggs because they contained ground eggshells. The rest of the staff's food was prepared properly. The shower door in one of the rooms was broken.

The owners and staff were helpful and friendly, and did that little extra that leaves you with a good memory. The bedding and pillows were good, and I liked the semi-outdoor shower. It's great for an overnight stop or a work trip, with superb value for money. Just don't expect a palace.
