Celia made us feel so welcome at Selkirk House, and we’d happily return. Her restaurant suggestions and local day-trip tips were really helpful. The rooms are roomy and carefully decorated, with coffee, tea and water provided. The bathroom had everything we needed, plus candles for a relaxing bath, tissues and plenty of thoughtful little extras. Breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit and several egg dishes cooked to order. It was all nicely presented and high quality. Mar!o

Celia was a perfect host, even bringing me a bucket to chill my wine, along with a plate and cutlery when I chose to stay in. The service was first class. My room was large, with a comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. I also loved the views towards the mountain and ocean. Breakfast was fabulous, with fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses, plus a cooked option. I only stayed one night, unfortunately. Next time I’ll make it a longer visit.

The guesthouse was so comfortable and beautifully designed that we didn’t want to leave. Celia was warm and smiling from the moment we arrived, always around and happy to help. The staff were just as kind and professional, and took care of all the details with a personal touch. It’s a lovely place to unwind and feel at home. We had a perfect stay and highly recommend it.

Celia went above and beyond as a hostess to make our visit feel perfect. We had a beautiful, relaxing stay at Selkirk House, right against the mountain, and really enjoyed the delicious breakfast with its range of options. We’ll definitely come back.
