Life on 3rd Guesthouse

I’d booked my usual guest house and couldn’t get a room, so I took a chance on this place. What a surprise. The rooms were clean and neat, the gardens well kept, and parking felt safe. There’s a big bottle of shampoo and body wash in the shower, and breakfast is included in the price. Fantastic service. I’ll definitely come back. Hats off!

We had to change our booking at the last minute, and the lovely staff made the stopover easy. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was great. The owners are hands-on, and you can tell. If you need somewhere for a night or 2 while travelling, give this place a try. Well done, ladies.

I’m really glad I chose Life on 3rd Guesthouse in Melville for my make-up workshop. The conferencing venue worked perfectly for a small workshop, and the place was even better than it looked in pictures. The guesthouse is private and spacious, with lots of natural light. Security nearby gave me a sense of safety, and the food and refreshments were great. They also accommodated particular dietary needs, including my request for “make-up friendly” food. It was good value for money, and I’ll have more workshops and other events here. Special thanks to Bernard and Lydia for their friendly, helpful service.

Life on Third is handy for Cresta and Rosebank malls, the botanical gardens, Gold Reef City and more. Lydia and Beulah made our stay feel like home, and were always helpful with advice for getting to know the area. The rooms were beautifully clean and comfortable, service came with a smile, and the full breakfast each morning made it all worthwhile. Thank you both 💓
