From the third floor there’s a really nice view, and the location is handy, about five minutes from Sandton City Mall. The neighborhood felt safe and was mostly quiet, though you do hear the occasional car from the main road. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit for three months. It was clean but a little dated, with a spacious living area and enough basics in the kitchen for simple meals. The shower stall is quite small and could feel cramped, especially for a larger person. There’s a smart TV and Wi-Fi, so streaming shows was easy. I’d hoped to use the pool in warmer weather, but it didn’t seem to get cleaned as often as I expected. The staff were friendly and always ready to help.

There’s nothing luxurious about this place. It’s self-catering, but I couldn’t bring myself to use the utensils. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear other guests making noise outside late at night.

I arrived on December 15 and was told there was no water. I’d booked this unit specifically because I was flying the next day and needed to do laundry. Booking.com and the hotel both agreed to a cancellation and refund, but I still haven’t received the R1966.50. To this day, nothing. Your hotel sucks.

The rooms at Times Square hotel aren’t all alike. Some have a big balcony, while others are small. Still, it’s one of the best places, and the swimming pool is large and deep.

The apartments are cleaned every day and kept clean, with fast, stable Wi-Fi and good security. There’s also a fuel station with a convenience store nearby, and two malls close by, including Grayston, about a five-minute walk away. A good place to stay.
