Dove's Nest Guest House

I stayed here on the night of February 17. The food was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff were very helpful, though the place felt a little expensive for what it is. In room 24, the safety gate by the sitting area is a hazard. Why use plastic spoons? I had a headache and couldn't find a first aid kit on the premises 🤔!!!!

After a stressful day and a long flight, we were taken to the B&B and checked in. They helped with our suitcases and showed us how everything worked. The staff were so friendly and the service was wonderful. The room was neat and tidy, and we slept soundly in the very comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing and tasty. More than a month later, we're still talking about it. I wish someone could teach me to make a breakfast like that. Thanks, Doves nest, for a lovely stay.

The staff were nice and helpful, and breakfast was included. You could also get a home-cooked dinner for a little extra. It was a good stop near Jo'burg airport, with a comfortable bed and the softest sheets I've ever felt. The fairly quiet rooms are surrounded by gardens and trees, and I enjoyed watching birds in the morning from inside the fenced property.

They charged my account twice, then said they couldn't refund the money because it was my mistake, even though it clearly seemed to be theirs. The service was horrific. The rooms were dirty, and the duvets were scratchy and uncomfortable. There were beg bugs, so I had to sleep on the floor. When I asked for clean sheets, they said I'd have to pay for them. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. I'd give it zero stars if I could. I wish I'd taken photos.
