The Eagle room looked over the pool and lagoon towards the heads, and breakfast was wonderful. Kate and Nathalie were lovely hosts, welcoming us with a much-needed cold drink after a long drive. They had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat around knysna. We took a beach walk at Brenton by the sea, then had lunch at ButterflyBlu with fantastic views. Kate also recommended a lunch stop for our drive to hermanus, and that was just as good. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these two wonderful ladies.

Knysna is charming, with plenty to keep active travellers busy. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have lovely views. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, suggesting outings, restaurants and even places to do laundry. You can tell the owners love what they do. Highly recommended.

The garden is beautifully kept, and a path leads through it to the pool. Double Dutch sits in Paradise, with lovely views over the Knysna lagoon and Knysna heads. Kate and Natalie, the two Dutch owners, were friendly and helpful. It’s a small, homely hotel, around five or six rooms, and ours was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. There’s safe, free parking on the property, and several restaurants within walking distance for dinner. Kate and Natalie stock the minibars with red and white wines you may not know yet. Breakfast was nice, too. Such a beautiful place, and a perfect stay in Knysna.

Kate shared lots of useful information, and breakfast was good. We had a large room with a well-equipped bathroom and views of the town, lagoon and Knysna Heads. The owners gave us a warm welcome, the room was ready, and we could park safely on the premises.

We had a great four-night stay at Double Dutch in November 2019, thanks to Kate and Nathalie’s kindness. Breakfast with that lovely view over Knysna Bay was a treat. The rooms are spacious, and the whole guest house is decorated with great taste. We recommend it and will remember our stay.
