Waterfront - 19 Quay West

A lovely place to eat and take in the marina view, especially with its drawer-bridge for boats to pass through. It’s one of the most sheltered marinas in the world, if not the most sheltered. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into yachts, touristy shops, or a good feed.

There’s a wide choice of restaurants and cafés for different tastes, along with boutique shops, curio stores, and ice cream stands. Some places are on the pricey side. The waterfront feels lively without being overcrowded, especially outside peak holiday periods. It’s easy to get to boat cruises and other lagoon activities, and parking is available nearby. The Knysna Waterfront has a lovely setting along the edge of the lagoon, with views of the water and surrounding hills. It’s a pleasant spot for a stroll, a meal, or just watching the boats come and go. Whether you stop for a quick coffee, have sunset dinner, or use it as a base to explore Knysna, it’s worth a visit and one of the town’s main attractions.

There are so many options here, from sleeping on a boat to staying at one of the establishments around the Waterfront. The place has that holiday feel, and the scenery makes you want to slow down and take it in. Stroll through the relaxed shopping areas and pick up some memorabilia.
