Bernadette made us feel welcome from the start and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She showed us around and explained all the helpful details when we arrived. The room was amazing, with plenty of space under its high ceiling, a traditional roof and brickwork that gave it an African safari feel, and its own bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. From the balcony we watched animals around Marloth park, including zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and pigs. There’s also a BBQ on the balcony, though we didn’t use it since we spent most of our stay in Kruger park. The shared kitchen was clean and had all the tools we needed, and staff took care of the cleanup. Guests also share a large living room area, and there’s an outdoor lodge with a pool out front. Crocodile Bridge gate, the nearest Kruger park gate, is about a 20-minute drive. Restaurants, a supermarket, and a petrol station in Marloth park are around 15 minutes away by car. The park roads are rough, so an SUV or crossover could be useful, but we managed fine in a limousine. The place is close to the crocodile river, where you can look across into Kruger park. We really appreciated how friendly and helpful Bernadette was. We can recommend this homestay and look forward to coming back.

Animals came to our porch every day, and Bernadette was so accommodating that she even booked us a last minute safari for the next day. The room was clean, well equipped, and decorated in a lovely, authentic style. Her little sanctuary is close to Kruger’s southern entrance and within walking distance of the fence, so you can take an evening stroll to watch animals without entering the park. We loved the people and the whole experience. Highly recommend it, and thanks so much!

We had such a warm welcome from the hosts, and the quiet atmosphere and splash pool were lovely. The cozy room was air-conditioned and had everything we needed. Wildlife comes right to the door: we saw warthogs, zebras, impalas, and more. And wow, you can see the Milky Way from the parking lot! It’s a great little lodge near Kruger’s Crocodile Bridge entrance. We’ll definitely return.

Bernadette was the best host, and we had a wonderful weekend in one of the lodge’s beautiful rooms. The decor was lovely, everything was clean and working properly, and the WiFi was good. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was plenty of parking. Animals came right up to our patio, which connects to the room, every day. The lodge is near the crocodile river, with Kruger Park across from it, and there’s a lovely walk along the fence in Marloth park. We’d love to come back.

The service was great, and Bernadette was amazing, always attentive and making sure we had a good stay. It’s beautiful here, right among nature. We woke up and went to sleep with all kinds of animals roaming around.
