I stayed in November in a very spacious room with a comfortable bathroom, and the little fridge in the room was a welcome touch. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly made by the lady who runs the place. The welcome was warm and professional, and the management of this bed and breakfast was empathetic and highly professional. The house sits in a safe, very green neighborhood. Its beautiful, functional architecture is English-style brick and wood, and the old construction is very good quality. A magnificent staircase leads up to the rooms. A pleasant stay, and an address I'll keep in mind for future trips.

The facilities were beautiful, neat, and spotless, and it’s rare to find such a complete package of warm service and superb accommodation. Nihal went above and beyond when my husband needed a place to stay at 22h00. They waited for him and welcomed him so warmly and kindly after a long day. Thank you, Nihal and Joice, for the hospitality. It meant a lot and is truly appreciated.

Breakfast is a filling proper English breakfast, and the rooms have everything you might need. They're spacious and unbelievably clean. The housekeeper is kind, helpful, and gives the best service. Every time I've stayed at the Sleeping Bao has been memorable. It's gorgeous, peaceful, and soothing, hands down the best place to stay in Pietermaritzburg. 10/10.

I booked last minute, and the lady who helped me was extremely helpful. Getting there was easy too. The Sleeping Boa is in a safe, serene location, definitely a place to retreat to when you need some peace of mind. I really enjoyed my stay.
