Our Premier Suite and Partial Sea View Suite were beautiful corner rooms right beside each other, a perfect arrangement for our family of five. The hotel put an extra bed in for our third child, and it worked out well. Both rooms had plenty of drinks and snacks, and the ocean and beach views were unbelievable. We stayed at The Plettenberg on August 1 and loved it. For our anniversary, the hotel surprised us with flowers and sweets, such a thoughtful touch. The whole property felt luxurious, from the elegant decor to the peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the heated pool, wellness spa, a meal at Amelia’s, and the delicious included breakfast each morning. Great for long beach walks, with unforgettable sunsets. A memorable stay in Plettenberg Bay.

The beach is an easy 5-10 minute walk down the path, and there are benches just a couple of minutes away for taking in the views. We had delicious meals at Amelia, the on site restaurant, and the hotel views were incredible. The staff were friendly, the service was exceptional, quick, and proactive. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with quality selections. We had a wonderful time at The Plettenberg and would stay again.

The location is perfect, and the hotel is the ultimate luxury. The waiters, porters, housekeepers, and pool staff were all phenomenal. We did have a couple of strange interactions with Sima at reception. She seemed unwilling to help even when she could, like retrieving my ice pack from my room or giving us 15 extra minutes to check out. Aside from those minor issues with one person, the experience was perfect.

Our kids loved the private pool at the Lookout Villa. The hotel is next to Lookout beach, and the complimentary minibar was fully stocked. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful, even lending us foldable beach chairs and bodyboards for our trip to the beach.

We visited in October, so evenings were still a bit cool. Imagine my surprise when I got into bed and found a hot water bottle waiting for me, such a lovely surprise! Our room and its view were amazing, spacious, and very clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful throughout our stay. A top hotel in a perfect position.
