The owners are so kind, and the rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed. Even the TV works, which feels like a small miracle with the constant power cuts (loadshedding) and the surroundings. This Pretoria guesthouse manages to feel luxurious right on the edge of the abyss, like staying in a socially critical documentary. The kitchenette has a microwave, which is all you really need. The pool's a bit green, but chlorine kills everything, right? And there's a private garden area where you can hide from reality. Five stars for a surreal stay.

The breakfast was really nice, and there's a restaurant about a five-minute walk away. It's a clean, quiet, homely place, and the ladies at the front desk gave great service.

We had a really enjoyable night here. It was clean, the welcome was friendly, and breakfast was good. The location also worked well for getting to the places we wanted to visit and to restaurants.

Dorothea and her husband Chris were such kind, friendly hosts. The gardens and surroundings are lovely, and the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with good strong coffee. It had all the comforts of home. Highly recommended, even from a fussy lady like me!
