The campsites feel tucked away in the bush, and we had a great tent camping stay at Bushman valley. We swam in the pool, caught an amazing sunset, and heard baboons barking as they headed up the mountain. The staff filled our personal wood-fired hottub. Bring enough firewood, though, or it’ll be a mildtub.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s a beautiful spot in the Swartberg mountains, very close to Prince Albert. I’d recommend it any time.

We spent four nights camping here and loved the majestic mountain setting, the quiet, and the stars after dark. Bushman Valley is a great place to relax and destress. We’ll definitely return to recharge, and highly recommend it.

We arrived without a reservation and got campsite number 1. It’s closest to the road, but still quiet enough. The pool and kids jungle gym were nice, and we loved the mountain views and nearby hiking trails. We weren’t given any information about the trails, which would have been helpful. A couple of the procedures also felt odd: children from age four were charged the full price, something we hadn’t encountered during our three months travelling in Southern Africa. They also took a picture of my ID card without explaining why or giving any information about data protection, which I suspect probably doesn’t exist.

We spent two days here and already miss it. The beautiful surroundings and chance to unwind made such an impression on us. What a place, it should be a must-stay for everybody!
