Arnheim Guesthouse

When we visit Robertson, Arnheim Guesthouse is our family’s home away from home. Anton & Chol are fantastic hosts who make sure guests get the most out of their stay. They’ve created a great modern Guesthouse experience. I can’t recommend their units highly enough.

The restored old cottage was lovely and amazingly clean for what we paid. Everything you need is provided, so there’s no need to bring anything. Kobus, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly. It’s a perfect couples’ retreat near the surrounding wine farms, and we’d definitely stay again.

The place didn’t feel safe to us at all. There were lots of people looking in and passing by on the street, and we didn’t like the smell inside, almost like a second-hand clothes shop. When we arrived, the property also fell short of the standard shown in the website photos, so we asked not to stay. The owner refused to refund any of our money. For almost the same price, or a little more, there are much better places to stay in Robertson.

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends. A big bottle of wine was waiting in the fridge when we arrived, and the place had everything for a lekker stay. The jacuzzi was great, as was the Braai area under the apple tree. The aircon was especially handy on a scorching day.
