Die Laan 2

Dewald was a very kind host, and staff communicated excellently about arrival times and requirements. The accommodation was clean, neat, and very comfortable for my one-night stay. There's safe parking on site. I highly recommend this place.

Check in and check out were simple, and the hosts were lovely. The apartment is spacious and modern, right in central Stellenbosch and close to all the sights. The complex is gated, which adds security when parking the car.

There was good communication before check in, and breakfast is available across the street at the cafe. The accommodation is very modern, with a large bathroom, TV, sofa, private terrace, pool, secure parking, and everything you need. It's very near the city center, and walking felt safe.

There was no one at the guesthouse to help when the TV wouldn't work, the kettle wouldn't switch on, and I couldn't charge my phone. I'd booked in for 6 30pm hoping for a relaxed evening, but loadshedding ran from 6pm till 10pm. I thought I could watch TV and make tea once the power returned, but couldn't. In the morning, when I complained to the lady, she just blamed loadshedding. For the amount you pay, I find it baffling that they couldn't even acknowledge they were wrong. Sadly, this was the worst guest house accommodation I've had in Stellenbosch, and they won't see me again.
